Robosol Cash & Carry EPOS solution’s dynamic Sales Modes

Robosol has worked with several Cash & Carry businesses implementing Point of Sale (EPOS) solutions to serve the walk-in customers. The EPOS requirements for Cash & Carry businesses are different from other retail businesses as Cash & Carry is essentially a business to business sale.

Robosol’s EPOS is fully integrated with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central with ability to control Customer, Product and Price information centrally from head office.

There are several modes of sales and here’s a breakdown of the important sales modes:

Walk-in Customer with Account:

  • Description: This mode is designed for regular customers who have established accounts with the cash and carry business. These customers can walk into the store, select their products, and make purchases using their existing account.
Advantages:
  • Streamlined Process: Account information is already stored, making the checkout process quicker for regular customers.
  • Loyalty Tracking: Easier tracking of purchase history and loyalty programs for account holders.

Day Pass Customers:

  • Description: This mode is likely for customers who don’t have a regular account but can purchase products on a temporary or one-time basis by obtaining a day pass.
Advantages:
  • Increased Accessibility: Attracts new customers who may not want to establish a long-term account but are interested in making occasional purchases.
  • Temporary Access: Allows customers to take advantage of wholesale prices without the commitment of a permanent account.

Click and Collect:

  • Description: Customers can browse and select products online through the cash and carry’s website or app, make a purchase, and then collect the items in person at the physical store.
Advantages:
    • Convenience: Provides customers with the convenience of online shopping combined with the flexibility to pick up products at their preferred time.
    • Cost Savings: Customers can save on delivery fees by picking up their orders themselves.

Call and Collect:

  • Description: Customers can place orders over the phone and then collect their items at the store.
Advantages:
    • Personal Assistance: Appeals to customers who prefer personalized assistance and guidance when making their purchases.
    • Accessibility: Caters to customers who may not have access to online ordering platforms or prefer verbal communication.

Click and Deliver:

  • Description: Similar to Click and Collect, but in this case, the customer’s purchases are delivered to their specified location.
Advantages:
    • Wide Reach: Expands the customer base beyond those willing to visit the physical store.
    • Time Savings: Offers the convenience of doorstep delivery, saving customers time and effort.
